FDM / FFF 3D Printers

FDM and FFF printers use a roll of plastic filament that is heated and pushed through a nozzle. The printer lays down melted plastic layer by layer until the object is finished.

These printers are great for beginners because they are affordable, easy to use, and have many material options.

Vat Polymerization / Resin Printing

Resin printers use liquid resin and light to create very detailed prints. They are excellent for miniatures, jewelry, figures, and small detailed objects.

Resin printing can produce smoother results, but it requires more cleanup, safety care, and handling of liquid resin.

Powder-Based 3D Printing

Powder-based methods use fine powder materials that are fused together with heat, lasers, or binding agents. These systems are common in professional and industrial settings.

They can create strong and complex parts, but they are usually more expensive and less common for home beginners.
